Guatemala boasts one of the most climatically diverse regions in the world. The soil, rainfall, humidity, altitude and temperature are varied enough to produce distinct types of Arabica coffee. More of the traditional typica and bourbon varieties of Arabica are preserved here than elsewhere in Latin America, which may account for the generally superior complexity of the cup.
